Security Officers Jobs in Kenya

Our client is a regional development bank whose mandate is to promote social and economic development within member countries. 

Social impact is a major consideration when the bank is selecting projects to support, as a result 60%+ of its current lending is to projects in health and education, hotels and tourism, construction and building, electricity and water, and agriculture. 


The bank wishes to hire Security personnel with experience of executing the following duties: 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all exit / entry points are well secured
  • Patrol premises to ensure security of designated area by detecting signs of potential or on-going intrusion and taking appropriate action.
  • Clearing visitors/outsiders who wish to enter premises under his care and ensuring that security checks are done before admission to the building.
  • Receive and direct clients/visitors in a professional manner thus ensuring that they enjoy a positive experience while visiting the organisation.
  • Observing individuals leaving the premises so as to protect against unauthorised removal of property.
  • Developing and maintaining a relationship with relevant authorities such as the police, other security organisations and the fire department and making contact with them promptly in the event of security situations occurring.
  • Conducting investigations of security incidents and compiling reports for action by management.
  • Prepare daily reports of incidences and irregularities such as but not limited to damage of equipment or property
  • Keeping abreast of security-related matters and issuing alerts on incidents and accidents as and when they occur within and around the premises to those who may be affected
Requirements
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen
  • Good command of English language; both written and oral
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ of post-secondary school training
  • Bachelor’s degree would be an added advantage
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a professional service environment such as a bank or a diplomatic office
