Job Profile:
 
Our client, a construction and engineering company is seeking to recruit a dynamic, competent, qualified and experienced Accounts Clerk to join their team.

The successful candidate will be providing the management with financial information and analyzing accounts; preparing financial statements.

Reporting to: Accountant and General Manager

Key functions will include:

Specific Duties
  • Preparation of LPOs using stores prime
  • Check daily requisitions made on stores prime
  • Check on vehicle movement and approve from stores prime as per standard policies and procedures
  • Manage and record petty cash usage vouchers (Newspaper purchase and other petty purchase)
  • Submit statutory payments as prepared by Accountant and records filing; NHIF, NSSF, PAYE, VAT, WT
  • Imputing data on I-tax as prepared by accountant
  • Record vehicle maintenance or spare parts purchase
  • Daily reports
  • Record mileage for all vehicles
  • Prepare fuel card reports
  • Record Quarry sales
  • Assist with accounting errands
  • Banking of cheques
  • Bill payments and delivering cheques to suppliers
  • Fueling vehicles follow-ups and receipting
General Duties
  • Assist with preparation of annual financial statements
  • Provide general assistance to the accountant
  • Assist accountant in bank reconciliations
  • Ensure proper filing of all accounting documents and records
  • General office administration assistance
Location: The role holder will be based in Kasarani, Nairobi. Area residents encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
  • At least a Diploma in Finance & Accounts
  • At least a CPA – IV
  • Internship experience in accounts
  • Sharp computer skills – Ms. Office, QuickBooks and training in Stores Prime
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Team player with problem solving skills 
Language: Excellent verbal and non – verbal communication skills in English.
 
Compensation: KES 10,000
