Our client, a barefoot luxury boutique hotel group is looking to recruit 2 Ground Handlers for their Nairobi office.
The
ground handlers are responsible for all reservations enquiries and arrangements
as well as working with the town drivers to execute these arrangements.
Key Responsibilities;

- Communicating
with the Dubai reservations team with regards to any reservations updates,
amendments and required arrangements.
- Reconfirmation
of services with all service providers & ensuring that they have up to
date information.
- Updating
the booking charts, ensuring that they are always kept up to date.
- Printing
and preparation of Guest documentation, when required.
- Communicating
with the Driver team to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are put
in place.
- Responsible
& always being conscious of risk, security and safety at the office,
reporting any concerns to the Office Manager.
- Ensure
Guest safety at all times and assist with any emergencies in town and at
the property.
- Regular
communication with the Driver team, regional offices, 3rd Party suppliers
& the property team.
- Wherever
possible, assist with the shamba, worm farm, recycling initiatives,
educating local schools about our impact.
- Assist
in communication & co-ordination with agents & management should
the guests require assistance during their trip.
- Always
attend to Guests’ requests or complaints promptly and in an appropriate
manner.
Qualifications;
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience within the tourism industry.
- Well-presented,
well-spoken and a friendly manner are essential.
- Valid
driver's license with a clean driving record & Public driver’s
license.
- Knowledge
on reservations systems such as Fidelio or Tourplan.
- Knowledge
of popular activities/”things to do”, historical sites, restaurants and
markets.
- Great
communication and organizational skills.
- Must
be able to cope under pressure and still operate effectively to meet
guests’ needs.
- Honest,
have good integrity and be trustworthy.
- Must
be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own and as a team.
- Hardworking,
eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh.
35,000 - 45,000/= (Approx. 350 - 450 USD) depending on experience
