Impact Research and Development
Organization is a registered National NGO with a main office in Kisumu and
regional offices in ten counties.
IRDO’s principal mandate is to
design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that
improve the health status of individuals and local communities.
The program seeks to provide most
vulnerable adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 15-24 years with core
package of evidence-informed interventions most likely to impact HIV incidence,
address risk behaviors for and transmission of HIV, and reduce gender-based
violence in Siaya County.
We are looking for qualified
candidates to fill the position of Community Interviewers for SASA!
Intervention of the DREAMS Program in Siaya County:
Position: Community Interviewers
(72 positions)
Reports to: Field Assistant – DREAMS Program
Location: 16 selected wards, within Siaya County
Duration of assignment: 14 days
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct In-depth Interviews (IDIs) and Focus
Group Discussions (FGDs).
- Transcribe recorded FGDs and IDIs and type
data in English within the allocated time.
Minimum Qualification and
Competencies:
- Diploma in Community Development/Social Work
- Experience in motivational interviewing
advantageous
- Good communication skills, fluency in English
and Dholuo, ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal relations
