seeks to recruit a competent, dynamic, creative and experienced person to fill
the position of HR
Business Partner.
Job Purpose Summary: Develops
policy, directs and coordinates human resource activities, such as employment,
compensation, benefits, training and employee services in line with the current
Employment Act.Core Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring
that all staff have the updated statutory requirements in their files,
such as NSSF, NHIF, etc.
- Managing
and updating the HR policy procedures and strategies, including job
description, leave forms, sick letter, letters of employment, induction
and orientation forms.
- Developing
and managing the company’s welfare, health and safety programmes.
- Providing
guidance on disciplinary matters and procedures.
- Administer
all employee benefit and payroll programs in conjunction with Finance
department
- Ensuring
appropriate recruitment and induction of employees into the organization;
including but not limited to conducting interviews, carrying out reference
checks, and employee on-boarding.
- Ensuring
appropriate targets are set for the staff in liaison with management and
various department staff
- Recommend
and ensure implementation of strategic direction for staff training and
development (including but not limited to Coaching and Mentoring) to
enhance effort and ability of staff.
- Conduct,
develop and maintain a training needs analysis and training calendar for
the organization.
- Ensure
motivational climate within the organization, including adequate
opportunities for career growth and development.
- Prepare
employee separation notices and related documents, conduct exit interviews
to determine reasons behind separation.
- Develop
and maintain the HR budget.
- Consult
legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with the Employment Act 2007.
- In
charge of administrative duties including office supplies and equipment,
house-keeping and ensure they are well stored and documented.
- Follows
up on city council licenses to make sure the company adheres to all
external compliance; updated business permits, fire licenses, OSHA.
Qualification and Skills:
- Bachelors
degree in HR Management or related area required.
- Minimum
4 years HR experience in a HR Generalist role; production experience is a
plus.
- Strong
communication, organization and planning skills with the ability to lead
and influence.
- High
proficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven
ability to review, analyze, and present data to meet needs of business
partners and to support business rationale.
- Knowledge
of government regulations relating to labor practices, benefits,
compensation and HR policy.
- Proven
ability to facilitate presentations/trainings.
- Capable
of working within an unstructured environment with ability to prioritize
issues and drive purposeful change.
- Ability
to build relationships and be an advocate of the team concept with all
levels of the organization
