Head Housekeeper – Maasai Mara, Kenya
    
Our client, a barefoot luxury boutique hotel group is looking to recruit a Head Housekeeper. 

She/he will responsible for organizing and coordinating a housekeeping - related operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. 

The ideal candidate MUST be willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective management of the housekeeping and laundry team.
  • Stock management of all housekeeping and laundry items.
  • Ensure all guest areas and rooms are always serviced and prepared with care.
  • Source reliable suppliers and constantly strive to negotiate the best prices from them.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives in this department, i.e. recycling, waste management etc.
  • Fulfil all relevant month end duties, i.e. stocktakes, recharges, staff administration e.g. leave management etc.
  • Support lodge manager with all HR related duties.
  • Ensure all risk, safety and emergency procedures are maintained  and followed.
Qualifications
  • Must have at least 3 years experience as a head housekeeper at a 5-star operation.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Diligence and self motivation to meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to relocate.
  • Energetic, proactive, professional and empathetic person.
Monthly gross salary: Competitive depending on experience
