A
Multinational operating a significant network of assets around the world,
involved in global merchandising of commodities and processing of agricultural
goods based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to be based in Mombasa.
The
successful candidate MUST have experience in a public company or a subsidiary
of a public company.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining
a sound system of payment processing for all EAF regions.
- G&A
analysis on a weekly/month process for all EAF regions.
- Monthly
analysis of actual vs. budgeted figures.
- Preparation
of bank reconciliations – EAF entities.
- Ensuring
reliability and integrity of AX reporting.
- Responding
to any queries from MEA region and group consolidation.
- Full
support to junior accountant/ head of accountant on tasks allocated.
- Dealing
with queries from the auditors on G&A analysis.
- Supplier
reconciliations.
- Capture
payments/disbursements with assistance from execution and other teams.
- Work
with banks to provide the support needed to ensure payments are fully
supported.
- Ad-hoc
tasks assigned by head of accounting.
Qualifications
- Must
have 4 years experience in a public company or a subsidiary of a public
company.
- Must
have a Bachelor’s degree/CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA/ICAEW.
- Must
have experience in financial reporting and consolidations.
- Computer
literate.
- Must
be willing to relocate to Mombasa.
- Excellent
written and spoken English.
Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 92,000/= (Approx. 920 USD)
