We urgently seek to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the position of:-

 

Senior Mechanic
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring maintenance and repairs of equipment and transport facilities as per set quality standards and specifications.
  • Carrying out comparative estimate cost of repairs and maintenance of motor vehicle and equipment.
  • Ensuring timely implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring that the cost of repairs is maintained within approved levels
  • Attending to minor breakdown of equipment and motor vehicle in the Corporation.
  • Conduction trouble shooting of motor vehicle and equipment.
  • Coordinating installation of new equipment and commissioning within the set standards.
  • Initiating purchases of motor vehicle spare parts required for repairs.
  • Carrying out repair and maintenance of hydraulic systems of motor vehicle / equipment.
  • Attending to emergency breakdown in the field.
  • Ensuring safe custody of spares, tools and equipment assigned.
  • Carrying out inspection and repairs of motor vehicles.
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Attributes
  • HND Automotive/Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 years hands-on experience.
Core Competence
  • Good people management skills
  • Knowledge of office automation.
  • Excellent knowledge in mechanics and vehicle models
  • Attention to details
  • Proficient in computer use
Drivers
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Driving of vehicles safely.
  • Ensuring proper entries in the work ticket.
  • Ensuring good servicing and fueling of the motor vehicles.
  • Conducting trouble shooting of motor vehicle and equipment.
  • Ensuring good custody of vehicles while on duty.
  • Assisting in vehicle maintenance.
  • Observing transport rules and regulations.
  • Reporting on expired licences/insurances
  • Providing messenger services.
  • Ensuring vehicle cleanliness.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned.
Skills and Attributes
  • Must be a holder of a KCSE Certificate.
  • Must possess a valid driving licence Class BCE.
  • Must possess a valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Those with Class D driving licence shall have an added advantage.

Assistant Accountant
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain primary books of accounts
  • Ensuring posting transaction to appropriate accounts as per approved procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Preparing and passing all journal entries to correct any errors or entries.
  • Timely compilation of trial balance and management reports as required.
  • Ensuring effective control of petty cash transactions.
  • Participating in responding to audit quires
  • Verifying payment vouches and coding expenditures as per policies and procedures.
  • Supervising, appraising staff and identifying their development and training needs
  • Preparing journal adjustment.
  • Preparing cash flow statement as required.
  • Ensuring safe custody of accountable documents and information.
  • Carrying out bank reconciliation as per approved procedures.
  • Posting payment and receipt and general ledger..
  • Filing correspondence to appropriate files.
  • Carrying out necessary analysis of expenditure as when required
  • Participating in preparation of budgets
  • Participating in control of budgets of various departments/sections
  • Maintain vote accounts for all respective departments
  • Ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Attributes
  • KCSE C plain
  • CPA II/Computer literate
  • 3 years’ experience
Core competence
  • Analytical mind i.e. able to look at figures with a critical mind
  • Quality conscious, i.e. should be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness

Green Leaf Logistics Officer
Objectives:
  • Ensure timely collection and delivery of quality green leaf to the factory
  • Coordination of green leaf collection and delivery from the Corporation’s farms and out growers to the factory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route planning
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of vehicles
  • Coordination of green leaf collection and delivery
  • Proper maintenance of green leaf records
  • Effective utilization of resources and Cost Control
  • Reliability and availability of quality transport fleet
  • Enhanced positive corporate image
  • Maintain records of out-growers and ensure they are paid
  • Preparation of accurate reports for the Production manager
Skills and Attributes
  • BSC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Diploma in Management/Transport Logistics
  • 5 Years hands on experience

Personal Assistant to the Managing Director
 
The overall responsibility for this position is to ensure a continuous improvement and sustenance of a positive corporate image and effective running of the MD’s office in line with the Corporation plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare confidential correspondence, reports and other complex documents.
  • Manage the Managing Director’s calendar and independently schedule appointments, screen incoming calls, correspondence and respond independently when possible.
  • Participate in organizing and managing board meetings and affairs in the Corporation.
  • Manage MD’s programs, travel plans, events or conferences by arranging for facilities and catering, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers and controlling event budgets.
  • Direct preparation of records such as agenda, notices, minutes and resolutions for management meetings
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Participating in smooth running of the executive office
Skills and Attributes
  • A BA/Bsc. Secretarial or equivalent degree
  • Full Secretarial plus Diploma in Business Management / MBA is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in office practice.
Core Competence
  • Good people management skills
  • Knowledge of office automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Attention to details
  • Willingness to work on a flexible schedule; and occasionally on holidays and weekends.
