Registered Clinical Officer II (RIDD
& Anaesthesia)

The Registered Clinical Officer II
will be responsible to the senior Registered Clinical Officer for the
management of clinical services in the Hospital.
- Planning, examining and conducting primary
health care activities.
- Diagnosing and treating patient’s ailment in
the outpatients/clinics
- Planning and conducting primary health care
activities.
- Teaching students attached to the hospital.
- Supervising and counselling of staff engaged
on routine patients’ care.
- Giving support and health education to
patients.
Qualification and Experience
- A Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a
recognized institution.
- Must have a Higher a Diploma in either RIDD
(Skin & Lungs specialist) or Anaesthesia from a recognized
institution.
- At least Three (3) years relevant experience
in a NHIF accredited hospital.
- Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of
Secondary Education (KSCE), mean grade C, with at least C in Biology,
English or Kiswahili and a C- in any other two science subjects.
- Registration with Kenya Clinical Officers
Association/Clinical Council of Kenya.
- Must have a valid practicing licence.
- Computer literate.
- Below thirty five (35) years.
Medical Specialist II – Surgery
Job Group K4
(2 Posts)
The Medical Specialist II will be
responsible to the Chief Medical Specialist / Head of the Surgery Division and
will be expected to take full responsibility for patients under his/her care.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing clinical procedures and making
decisions on patients’ management in the area of specialization.
- Conducting regular Ward Rounds.
- Responding to consultations from other clinical
specialties.
- Conducting specialist out-patient clinics.
- Participating in assessment of patients as may
be required by the Hospital Management.
- Participating in research, teaching, training
and supervising the performance of both medical and non-medical staff as
well as post-graduate students.
- Participating in preparation of annual budgets
for the department.
- Participate in Administrative activities of
the department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Masters of Medicine Degree in Surgery from the
University of Nairobi or any other recognized University.
- Specialist Recognition and retention
Certificate from the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board of Kenya.
- Proven experience of one year after specialist
recognition.
- Evidence of research and at least two (2)
professional publications in reputable local or international journal on
particular scientific findings/practices in the relevant field will be
added advantage.
- Interest in subspecialty in Urology or
Gastroenterology.
The position is on a permanent &
pensionable terms.
Medical Specialist II – Anaesthesia
Job Group K4

The Medical Specialist II will be
responsible to the Chief Medical Specialist / Head of the Surgery Division and

Senior Assistant Director, Human Resource
& Administration

Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the Deputy Director (Administration
& Finance), the overall responsibility of the Senior Assistant Director,
Human Resource & Administration will be to ensure implementation of the
best human resource management practices and advise on appropriate strategies
and policies to support the achievement of corporate objectives.

Key Tasks and responsibilities
- Provide transformational leadership and
administrative direction to the Heads of Department.
- Formulate and implement Human Resource
policies and strategies.
- Put in place effective performance management
systems for the Hospital.
- Advise Managers on appropriate human resource
management policies and strategies.
- Ensure effective staff recruitment and
succession planning.
- Plan and direct employee development,
performance and career management programs.
- Develop and ensure implementation of reward
systems and remuneration policies and strategies that attract, retain and
motivate employees.
- Formulate, recommend and implement Human
Resource welfare schemes and policies.
- Ensure proper maintenance of Human Resource
database.
- Prepare Human Resource annual budget and work
plan.
- Provide employee-counselling services.
- Review organizational structures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management,
Business Administration (HR Option) or its equivalent from a recognized
university.
- A Higher National Diploma in Human Resource
Management from a recognized institution/CPS (K)
- Working experience of at least ten (10) years,
three (3) of which must be at a senior level in a large organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in human resource
management information systems.
- Proven experience in Human Resource Training
and Talent management will be an added advantage.
- Must be a member of a Human Resource
professional body (IHRM).
Personal Attributes
- Ability to function as part of a Senior
Management team.
- Skills in strategic analysis and planning of
human resource.
- Ability to lead change management in a complex
health care environment.
- Understanding of financial management and
experience in managing budgets.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and
leadership skills.
The position is on a three (3) year
renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance.
