Manager - Mobile Phones & Accessories
Job
Description:
The role of the Vendor Manager includes but is not limited to:
- Handling
relationships with new and current suppliers (includes talking to them
every day and developing a rapport)
- Getting
the weekly mobile phone promotional material from the suppliers
- Negotiating
costs and payment terms for the mobile phones and accessories
- Getting
new mobile phone/ accessory releases as soon as the suppliers have them.
- Shortlisting
and prioritizing key mobile phone suppliers.
- Finding
new suppliers and try to source and sell every product within your
category.
- Monitoring
stock levels and planning the purchasing policy well in advance.
- Having
an accurate knowledge of competition: who they are, what prices they have
and their products.
- Analyzing
consumer buying behavior and predicting future trends in relation to
mobile phones
- Attending
telecommunication related events/expos to identify possible suppliers.
- Producing
Monthly reports.
- Liaising
with various teams within the organization to ensure a smooth flow of
operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree
/ Diploma in Business / Commerce Purchasing and supplies.
- 2
years and above work experience sourcing and handling suppliers
- Prior
experience working with mobile phone retailers and/or suppliers
- Excellent
computer skills

Job Description
- Assist in coming up with a supplier sourcing
(hunting) plan
- Shortlisting, pre-qualifying and prioritizing

The affiliate program is a tool that JUMIA uses to promote the website and items on sale, through individuals (affiliates) who post/ share and publish links to items on sale on their websites/ blogs and social media pages.
The role also encompasses digital marketing, SEO, SEM, PPC all focused towards making JUMIA extremely visible online
- Maintaining stimulating relationships with the
current affiliates in the program
- Introduce new individuals to the affiliate
program
- Train new affiliates on how the program works
and how to share links and campaigns

structure, URL re‐writes, social media, blogging and link building
