Monitoring & Evaluation Officer Job in Kenya

OGRA Foundation is a tax-exempt Kenyan Non-governmental Organization registered in 2004. It is one of Western Kenya’s leading Non-Governmental Organizations active in 4 counties, namely Kisumu, Vihiga, Siaya and Homa-bay.

OGRA Foundation in partnership with Kenya Red Cross Society is implementing the Global Fund for HIV round 10 project targeting communities in Kisumu and Vihiga Counties.
 

OGRA Foundation is currently looking for able professional to fill the following position in the organization:
 
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer 

The position is based in Kisumu with frequent travels to Muhoroni Sub-County, Nyando Sub County and Vihiga County.
 
Overall Job Function: To support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation & Research framework and undertake monitoring and evaluation of Global Fund project to enhance compliance and accountability across projects.

The position reports to Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Manager, OGRA Foundation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the design of the framework for physical and process monitoring of global fund program activities at the organizational level.
  • Working closely with other global fund program staff and implementing partners on qualitative monitoring to provide relevant information for on-going evaluation of project activities, effects and impacts.
  • Undertaking regular field visits to support implementation of M & E activities, identifying gaps and communicate change as necessary.
  • Guide the regular sharing of the outputs of M & E finding with project staff, organization staff, implementing partners and primary stakeholders as may be required.
  • Ensure timely and quality in monthly, quarterly and annual program reporting.
  • Take part in the designing of the program planning and reporting tools.
  • Oversee the program data collection process.
  • Undertake Monthly program analysis on key Indicators and share findings with both the program staff and the MER Manager for decision making.
  • Participate in review meetings with community Health Workers (CHV’S) as may be required.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of the program work plan and achievement of the monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Guide the documentation of case studies and best practices across the program.
  • Ensure the field officers are guided in their implementation
  • Represent the organization in Quarterly and Annual Program review meetings organized by the PR.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, Project Management, Public health, public policy, statistics  or related fields
  • M & E training will be an added advantage
  • 3 years of experience in executing Monitoring and Evaluation of donor funded programs
  • Understanding and knowledge of working with relevant Government Ministries and departments.
  • Computer literate
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation skills in both English and Kiswahili
  • Ability to undertake data analysis and interpret findings
  • Be a good team player with strong analytical skills
