Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
Manager
Reporting to the Programs Director,
the M&E Manager will be responsible for all aspects of organisational
learning and will provide day-to-day management of the program’s monitoring and
evaluation and research activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs by facilitating
program design, developing program pipelines, new business concept papers
and project designs as well as supporting area offices in new
non-sponsorship funds.
- Develop and implement the National Office M
& E Strategy.
- Interpret and facilitate implementation of
Planning, Accountability and Learning System (PALS) within the
organization, consolidate information, and report the effectiveness and
results of programs.
- Support staff to meet institutional planning
and reporting accountability.
- Coordinate programs review and reflections,
prepare M&E findings, guide regular sharing of the findings and give
feedback into the organization’s learning.
- Design and implement organizational and
programs learning, ensure adequate supervision and quality outputs.
- Design and coordinate baseline surveys,
mid-term evaluation and final evaluation and sharing of study results.
- Organize and support monitoring and
implementation support to all grants and sponsorship funded projects and
disseminate findings
- Promote effective and responsible leadership
of M&E activities to ensure ownership, empowerment, cross learning and
sharing to enhance organizational performance.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in M&E, Public
Health, Health Management, Sociology, Public Policy, Biostatistics /
Social Research and/or in a related field.
- 7 years’ work experience in design and
management of M&E and Research programs preferably with respect to
child welfare and protection systems.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative and
qualitative evaluation design, implementation and analytical techniques
for development programs
- Advanced skills in M&E related activities
such as statistical analysis, impact evaluation, performance evaluations
and instrument design and management.
- Advanced computer skills with demonstrated
experience in using SPSS, STATA and other analytical software packages.
- Excellent oral and written communications
skills; fluency in English and Swahili is required.
