About the Organisation: We are an upcoming and dynamic TV station based outside of Nairobi. 

We are determined to raise the standards of what the public should expect from a TV channel, and revolutionalise how the market perceives the TV set as an advertisement medium.  

In order to achieve this, we need to fill the following two positions with the right mix of talent, skills and experience:

1. Production / News Editor
 


You will be the head of the Production Department, a fast-paced environment requiring strict adherence to set deadlines. 

You will be in charge of scheduling and managing the entire news and video production processes. 

You will ensure that programmes are produced in accordance with agreed upon schedules and standards.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Providing leadership in the preparation of News and TV programmes
  • Acquisition of broadcast materials from external content developers
  • Ensuring proper licensing of all copyrighted works
  • Developing daily news gathering schedules
  • Assigning tasks to news teams
  • Conducting media interviews
  • Ensuring timely production and airing of News
  • Ensuring broadcast content complies with legal requirements and company policies
  • Other related tasks as may be assigned by the management.
Personality
  • Team leader
  • Self-driven, with the ability to make decisions and take initiatives
  • Efficient time manager
  • Creative and can come up with concepts
  • Excellent in communication and presentation skills
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Social Sciences, or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in Electronic News Gathering (ENG) and TV production
  • Experience in conducting interviews
2. Head of Marketing & Customer Relations
 
You will be in charge of developing and spearheading execution of the appropriate marketing strategies to ensure the company's profitability. 

You will manage the company's key accounts, and ensure efficient customer service.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Developing the overall marketing strategy
  • Setting of performance targets for the marketing team
  • Providing leadership to the marketing team to ensure attainment of the set targets
  • Developing and managing relationships with customers
  • Working with clients to develop effective marketing and PR campaigns
  • Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, and continued revenue growth
  • Preparing and presenting proposals to clients
  • Spearheading acquisition of new business
  • Other related tasks as may be assigned by the management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communication/PR or related field
