Forklift Operators
 
Purpose: The incumbent will safely operate fork lifts and ensure accurate and timely loading / offloading of consignments without causing harm / damage.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure folk lift movements within the yard is safely done
  • Report, escalate and ensure folk lift are in good condition
  • Ensure efficiency in loading(strictly as per pick sheet) offloading and receiving of products
  • Ensure packaging and line clearance is continuously achieved without any downtime while ensuring safe work practices.
  • Observe safety at work and time in regard to reporting and protocol
Qualifications
  • Secondary school certificate
  • Folk lift training certificate
  • 2 years’ experience working as a folk lift operator
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili
HGV Driver
 
Purpose: the position holder will ensure safe, efficient transportation and delivery of goods to various customers in different destinations using a commercial motor vehicle meeting client, customer and legislative requirements.

Competencies
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • A person of integrity
  • Able to move products which may require bending, stretching and lifting in line with health and  safety regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer orders once planned by the control tower are executed safely at the right time, place, and quantity and with the right vehicle
  • Represent DHL in a professional manner to customers
  • Build trusted relationships with the control tower colleagues to ensure the efficient execution of customer orders
  • Ensure timely and enthusiastic approaches to all training courses
  • Maintain regular contact with the transport team to remain up to date and avoid customer complaints
  • Ensure safe vehicle turnaround time to various delivery destinations is met
  • Ensure that the vehicle is in good condition for deliveries and any anomaly reported in good time for corrective measure.
Qualifications
  • Secondary school certificate
  • HGV (Articulated) valid driver license
  • Two years of HGV (articulated) driving experience
