Our clients have an opening for an internal auditor with a lot of experience in accounting in their offices in Mombasa. 

The incumbent must be ready to live and work in Mombasa or already residing in Mombasa.

Job Duties:

  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings.
  • Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires.
  • Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires; recommending new policies and procedures.
  • Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees.
  • Complies with statutory, state, and local security legal requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • CPA Knowledge is a must
  • Making sure all other units and outlets have proper accounting systems and the reconciliations thereof
  • Post all purchases and sales.
  • Prepare and present daily sales reports
  • Manage petty cash.
  • Prepare and make all bank payments.
  • Vouch all payments and ensure they are properly filled with complete support documents
  • Do bank and petty cash reconciliation
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 4 yrs. experience in the same field 3 years being in accounting Audit,
