Performance Measures
- Management reporting
- Periodic Ledger Reconciliation
- Inter – group accounts reconciliation
- Budgeting
- Payroll
- Statutory Audit facilitation and oversight
- Payable and debtors management
- Inventory Management
- Bank and Cash Management
- Periodic Operational financial review
- System review and advice on possible changes
- Project finance forecast
- General office supervision and organization
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Monthly Management Reports
- Review of management report and production of
variance analysis.
- Reconciling of Inter-Group accounts and Asset
accounts.
- Reconciliation of Monthly Inventory accounts
with Inventory Managements System.
- Liaising with accountants in other units in a
bid to reconcile inter-group accounts.
- Preparation of monthly departmental reforecast
- Coordinating with the Financial Controller in
Annual Budget preparation.
- Uploading of Budgets and reforecast to
accounting system.
- Transfer of costs, invoices, and stocks from
Inventory Management system to Accounting System.
- Attending Management Meetings and Monthly
Financial Review Meetings.
- Carrying out Sun system back up
- Preparation of various Audit Schedule and
Liaising with Statutory Auditors in provision of audit requirements.
- Supervision of general accounts associates
- Reconciliation of Other Nominal Account
- Daily audit of arrivals and departures
- Daily check of house status balance and floor
limit control
- Daily Control of paymaster rooms
- Confirm all room charges and rate applied to
guest in house and the same for daily arrivals
- Audit of house keeping and front office system
occupancy status and follow up for any variance
- Verify night audit reconciliation.
- Follow up for any night audit issues that need
to be addressed during the day
- Verify Complimentary, house use and any zero
rated rooms
- Audit of voids, discounts and any adjustment
done Point of sale
- Ensure Series control of bills and report on
any missing bills or irregularities spotted on the bills.
- Control of revenues from Minor operating
departments like telephone and Laundry.
- Night audit
Essential Educational and / or Training
Qualifications and Certificates
- Must be a Graduate
- CPA K Finalist
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
(number of years, type of experience)
- Over 8 years Financial / Accounting experience
- Over 5 years management experience a medium to
large organization preferably in the Hospitality ind.
- Good Technical / working knowledge of relevant
