Vacancy: Supply Chain Finance Manager
 
Our client is recognized leader in confections with a wide range of product including gum, mints, hard and chewy candies, and lollipops with operations in approximately 50 countries and distribution in more than 180 countries.

The Supply Chain Manager will be reporting to the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Supply Chain Director

Job Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for contributing to the business by providing decision support through accurate monitoring, reporting, and analysing of Supply Chain financial results and projections. 


Provide financial support to Supply Chain department by sharing information and providing insights to influence decision making

Key responsibilities
  • Representative on the Factory Management Team responsible for planning, directing and monitoring the activities related to the factory's costs systems and analysis of product costs and contribution margins - including details for prime, conversion and overheads. 
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate Controls and good governance over factory processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring and interpreting performance KPIs- highlighting opportunities and risk to the Supply Chain management team.
  • Serve as the Finance Co-pilot to the Supply Chain Director and Supply Chain Management Team providing financial advice to ensure sound financial and operational decisions. Support strategy definition and implementation, developing and evaluating longer term strategies, forecasts and investment plans.
  • Manage the processes of the factory financial shaping and financial forecasting (including capital expenditure), analysis, management accounting and reporting.  Including identifying business issues and opportunities, and making recommendations for future actions.
  • Manage the processes of product costing, transfer price calculation, governance and control of capital investments. Provide reliable and timely financial data to key stakeholders to support the decision-making process.
  • Improve, and ensure compliance with internal processes and implement necessary control procedures to ensure achievement of factory business and company objectives. Instil strong cost control and planning discipline to assist factory management in controlling manufacturing costs.
  • Act as an internal consultant, creating an open environment in which excellent teamwork with other departments is fostered and which helps to improve procedures and flows of information. This will require a proactive attitude, teamwork and a full knowledge of the business, markets and competitors.
  • Prepare financial budgets and forecast for supply Chain providing analysis and insights alongside other Supply Chain requests (regional or local) as and when required.
  • Assist in identifying and employing interventions that will enhance the financial capability of the non-finance peers, including leveraging on SAP.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by the Finance Manager and Supply Chain Director
  • Responsible for reporting problems with quality and food safety management system to the Food safety Team Leader or to immediate Supervisor/Manager.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s degree will be an added advantage)
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in preferably in an international FMCG company
  • At least 3 years’ experience, in managing an accounting department in a manufacturing environment
  • Business co-piloting experience
  • A working knowledge of SAP R/3
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with all levels of the organization.
