The successful candidate’s primary role will be ensuring the
smooth operation of the Mara Safari Shop, managing a team of Maasai artisans at
the Maasai Beading Studio and engaging with guests in a warm and professional
manner.
Day to day responsibilities would include
Day to day responsibilities would include
- Interacting,
story telling and assisting guests with shop related needs
- Drive
sales to maximize profits and minimize costs
- Handling
all reporting and data capturing relating to sales
- Constantly
updating the shop merchandising
- Managing
stock levels, pricing and end of month stock take
- Ensuring
the cleanliness and orderliness of both shop & studio
- Driving
production, innovation and creativity in the Maasai Beading Studio
- Managing
the of Maasai artisans working in the studio
There are no formal qualification requirements, though
candidates with the following will be at a distinct advantage:
- Experience
in a similar retail environment
- A
track record of excellent customer service
- The
ability to think creatively and act proactively
Remuneration will be market-related and dependent on
experience.
This
is a full-time position with leave cycles of 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
The
candidate must be willing to live in the Maasai Mara .
