Sustainable Aid in Africa (SANA) International is a Non - Governmental Organization based in Kisumu City that works in partnership with local communities, government, donor agencies and the private sector to increase access to safe water supply services and environmental sanitation solutions to the poor and disadvantaged people in Kenya.
 
To strengthen its capacity in delivering improved and sustained access to safe water, SANA intends to recruit two qualified staff to support technical operations and provide financial management support to small water schemes.
 

The details for the two vacancies are provided below:
 

1. Finance Management Staff
 
The Finance Management staff will be responsible for;
  • Provision of professional financial and management support to small WSPs
  • Support and ensure proper documentation of cash flows and revenue collections.
  • Continuous supervision and monitoring of financial record keeping on billing of water sales, revenues collection and management as well as operational expenses.
  • Production of weekly and monthly reports on the financial performance of the water schemes.
  • Keeping close contacts with the operation team, to ensure efficiency in service delivery and
  • Any other related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements for appointment
  • CPA 11
  • O level with a mean grade of C+ and above
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting will be a definite advantage
  • 3 years NGO / CBO working experience particularly dealing with water supply will be a definite advantage.
  • Excellent financial management skills and general management.
  • Excellent computer skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, proficiency in Sage Pastel and quick books are pre-requisites
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, team player and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and delivery of output on agreed timelines
2. Technical Staff
 
The technical staff will be responsible for;
  • Provision of professional technical and management support to small WSPs
  • Timely delivery of operation and maintenance services of Water Infrastructure
  • Regular supervision of operations and maintenance of the scheme.
  • Provision of weekly and monthly reports on the functionality and overall management of the water schemes
  • Keeping close contacts with the programme team, to ensure efficiency in service delivery and
  • Any other related duties as may be assigned.
Requirements for appointment
  • A diploma/ HND in operations and maintenance of water utilities. A degree will be of an added advantage.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Water Utility Management as requisite.
  • Excellent computer skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, team player and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and delivery of output on agreed time.
