Monitoring and Evaluation Administrator Job Opening in Nairobi, Kenya

Duma Works is recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Administrator for one of our clients.

Primary Purpose:
 The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Regional M&E Manager in the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) functions of the company’s program in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia and Malawi.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative data collection tools and instruments to suit each country context based on the program’s M&E indicators and ad-hoc data requirements
  • Analyze collected data using appropriate tools (e.g. Excel, SPSS, STATA) and generate insights /findings
  • Create detailed reports based on the insights from the data that can be shared with external stakeholders
  • Ensure data quality through execution of regular data quality audits and onsite verification exercises
  • Drive development and analysis of the project’s monthly progress reports
  • Work with country and regional management to integrate M&E data into program planning and decision-making processes
  • Participate in tracking of program impact, documentation of success stories, lessons and experiences
Support to the Regional M&E Manager
  • Share best practices and lessons learned with entire project management
  • Support each country-level adaptation and use of standard templates and tools for key project deliverables
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual programmatic performance reports
  • Participate in the strengthening of existing project’s M&E systems
  • Assist the Regional M&E Manager in providing coaching, direction, and support to program team members in understanding the importance of M&E
  • Work with program staff to identify M&E needs at country level and provide training, as appropriate
  • Work with the Regional M&E Manager to ensure that the project’s M&E systems adhere to the company’s M&E Standard Operating Procedures
  • Liaison with other country, regional, and HQ staff, as appropriate
Qualifications and Competencies 
The ideal candidate should have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics, maths, statistics, or its equivalent;
  • Professional training in M&E or data analysis and at least three (3) years of relevant work experience;
  • Must have hands on experience in statistical analysis packages e.g. STATA; SPSS, Epi-Info;
  • Must have hands on experience with ad-hoc analysis in Excel, including pivot tables;
  • Proven ability to work with various M&E methods and approaches;
  • Ability to identify and measure social indicators is critical;
  • Excellent analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data and report writing a must;
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills a must;
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
  • Proven ability and experience working with teams;
  • Willingness to travel locally & internationally especially in remote rural areas;
  • Strong coordination, problem solving and networking skills.
  • Must be honest, a team player, a good communicator and able to work under minimal supervision.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Skills in training and building capacity of others
Reports to: M&E Regional Manager

Position Location:
 Nairobi with travel to rural sites in Kenya, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania and Ethiopia

Hours:
 Full Time
