Our Company, whose core business is the international trade of frozen products, beverages and fast moving consumer goods seeks to recruit a Human Resource Officer. 

Description: Responsible for the effective coordination of human resource activities such as recruitment and selection, performance management and development and directly reports to The CEO, Operations Manager and The General Manager
 
Supervision: Responsible for the effective coordination of human resource activities such as recruitment and selection, performance management and training and development

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of the balance score card Assist in implementation of HR strategies and policies to support the business needs.
  • Ensure follow through on agreed actions on manpower, succession, and development plans for talent and critical staff.
  • Proactively drive the recruitment and selection process of junior staff and provide administrative support for the recruitment of senior staff.
  • Prepare and coordinate induction programs for newly recruited employees.
  • Maintain an effective record management system for employees to ensure confidentiality of official records.
  • Prepare appointment letters and any other letters i.e. confirmation letters using standard templates and on instruction by the relevant managers.
  • Monitor absences and report on the same, for example, annual leave, sickness, off days etc. Administration of staff benefits and leave as per company policy and procedure.
  • In liaison with the HRM and relevant line managers take charge of all disciplinary matters. Advice and update staff and managers on company policy, procedures and legislation. Manage payroll administration including taking charge of the implementation of changes and responding to and following up any payroll queries from the managers and staff.
  • Prepare HR reports as required from time to time.
  • Establishes and implements long and short range goals and objectives concerning human resource unit.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management Diploma in Human Resource Management Must be a member of the Institute of Human Resources Management.
  • Five years working experience with two years in a similar position in Manufacturing.
