Vacancy: Finance Manager
 
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecast cash flow positions, annual financial statements on strict deadlines and distribution of these to various constituents i.e board of directors and management who rely on/benefit from the information analysis.
  • Preparation and processing of monthly payroll and distribution of salaries therefrom.
  • Provide support, explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks eg current processes, actual performance vs budget
  • Design, documentation, implementation and interpretation of sound accounting and internal control systems to ensure adequate safeguard of organization’s assets, prevention of revenue leakage, improve cost saving and IFRS compliant reporting procedures.
  • A hand on experience on the corporate’s current legislative obligations viz a viz statutory deduction, VAT, etc.
  • Maintain and/or improve relationships with bankers, clients, suppliers with the objective of realizing organization’s goals in a cost effective manner.
  • Partner with Product Management and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact due to product cost reductions, new product roll out, etc. and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required
Education and Experience Requirements: 
  • Minimum of four year experience in a similar position in IT environment. 
  • Qualification in ACCA or CPA. 
  • Work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods. 
  • Strong experience in income statement analysis. 
  • Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with Tally 7.2 accounting package and Pay 100 payroll package will be an added advantage. 
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Self motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
