Client is a Construction Company currently recruiting a Legal Clerk
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
- Update
all the relevant diaries of the advocates with current and correct client
information giving details of court cases that are fixed for hearing.
- Filing
and service of legal documents in courts, registries and organizations
within and outside Nairobi
- Attend
court sessions for mentions in different courts in the country as directed
from time to time.
- Keeping
records of cases and other matters within the department and prepare a
weekly report on all matters arising.
- Assist
in drafting of agreements, affidavits and any other legal document under
the supervision of the advocate in the firm.
- Taking
hearing and mention dates in litigations matters
- Filing
and organizing the legal department registry
- Providing
any other clerical services required by the advocates as and when directed
from time to time.
- To
perform any other duties that may be assigned by the management from time
to time.
Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications
Academic Qualifications
- ‘O’
Levels (minimum C plain)
Professional Qualifications
- Diploma
in Law and or relevant experience in similar environment
Experience
- At
least two years with relevant experience in a law firm
Skills
- Excellent
interpersonal skills
- Good
team player
- Honest
and possesses a high level of integrity
- Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications and modern communications systems
