Position Title: Branch Manager

Division: Integrated Distribution Channels
Reporting to: Senior Branch Manager
Position Scope: The branch manager is responsible for the overall
activities of the branch to continually and simultaneously serve customers
within the assigned target market so that the bank can achieve excellence in
providing competitive and comprehensive financial solutions whilst meeting all
the stakeholders’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
- Lead the development and implementation of
business development initiatives with a focus on growing branch business
volumes, customer base and income in line with business strategy.
- Develop and implement sales and profitability
plans to ensure achievement of Branch targets.
- Promote the provision of excellent customer
service in the branch to facilitate superior customer experience and
business growth.
- Participate actively in community, business and
industry organizations to build a network of contacts that improve the
presence and reputation of the branch and Bank in the local area.
2. Operations Management
- Oversee effective delivery of operations and
services in the branch in line with agreed services standards.
3. Performance Management
- Provide the overall coordination, leadership,
motivation and management of performance of all staff in the branch.
4. Cost Management
- Oversee branch financial management in line
with business strategy
5. Risk Management & Control
- Champion compliance and adherence to Bank’s
policies and procedures especially as relates to credit, service and
compliance for better risk management and mitigation.
- Ensure security and safety of Bank’s assets,
including structures, equipment, inventory and cash.

Skills & Experience:
Essential
- University Degree
- Post graduate qualification in Business
related field
- 5 years service exposure in banking sales,
service or operations
- 3 years in a leadership position
- Sound knowledge of banking services, products
and solutions including lending, and credit administration.
- Proven success in customer service,
relationship management and business development acumen
- Strong supervisory and team management skills
- Knowledge of branch operations
- Budgeting Knowledge
- Ability to manage and implement change
initiatives by taking ownership and working with all stakeholders.
Desirable
- Master Degree in Business related field
- Professional qualification in Banking (AKIB /
ACIB)
- Proven understanding and application of
effective selling strategies and techniques
