Accounts Receivable Controller Job Vacancy

Accounts Receivable Controller (Tanzanian National) – Arusha, Tanzania

Our client, fast growing Agriculture & Milling Company based in Arusha Tanzania is looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Controller for managing accounts receivable, supporting debt recovery, managing accounts receivable records and assist the CFO in credit management. 

The successful candidate MUST be a Tanzania National with a minimum of 5 years experience working in Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for full implementation Credit Policy by ensuring credit limits are adhered to.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly collection reports and aged debtors analysis reports.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of invoices, credit notes and receipts.
  • Ensure periodic confirmation of balances for accounts are properly prepared and mailed to customers within the required time.
  • Attend to and resolve customers’ queries on a timely basis.
  • Participate in weekly debtors meeting with the CFO and Head of Customer Care to give an update on outstanding debtor balances.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and resolving any outstanding issues.
Qualifications;
  • Degree qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Must be a CPA (T) finalist with a bias in Credit Control.
  • Significant experience working in credit control in busy medium or large organization.
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of accounting applications such as QuickBooks or Sage.
  • Highly organized with strong planning skills.
  • Must demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Honest and trustworthy with strong business ethics.
Monthly gross salary: Tsh.1,200,000 – 1,300,000/= (Approx. 550 – 590 USD) depending on experience
