Our client a leading Telecommunications firm based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit in the following positions.
 
Accountant - Projects
 
General Description of Duties: The Projects Accountant is responsible for comprehensive projects accounting. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to tracking and reconciling all projects costs from inception to closure, provide a deep project performance analysis, fleet management and champion for adherence to ISO processes. 


Reporting Relationship: This position administratively reports to the Finance & Administration Manager but has direct reporting to the CEO on some functions as will be defined.
 
Qualifications: The position requires a person with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy accounting department and with excellent Computer skills in MS Office and Pastel. 
 
Education: The suitable person should have degree in business field with CPA K.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation, administration and reconciliation of petty cash and project floats.
  • Cash/Travel requisitions management.
  • Job expenses closures and reconciliation with the relevant requisitions.
  • ISO Quality Management Representative (QMR) - Oversee strict adherence of ISO Processes in all the Company operations
  • Monthly projects analysis and reporting
  • Reconciliations of the all suppliers invoices and payments and aligned to specific projects
  • Accurate update of Pastel systems with all expenditures and incomes
  • Preparation of Suppliers Purchase Orders and align the same to specific project
  • Maintenance of an updated PO tracker
  • Maintain an updated fleet management records
  • Manage the OSHA policies in the Company with updated records for all Health & Safety records registers for all the projects and operations in the Company.
Other Skills and Abilities 
 
Position requires the following additional skills and abilities;
  • Demonstrated applied skills in word processing and other computer software.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative and complete assignments independently and on‐time.
  • The individual must exhibit excellent analytical skills to critically analyze data and interpret to derive credible conclusions for decision making.
  • Organizational skills and performing job requirements efficiently and orderly. 
  • Ability to maintain high degree of privacy and confidentiality.
Salary range: Kes 35,000- Kes 40,000

Accountant – General 
 
General Description of Duties 
 
The Accountant is responsible for generation of management accounts based on all costs and incomes.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to management accounts generations; payments for the statutory obligations.

Reporting Relationship:
 This position administratively reports to the Finance & Administration Manager but has direct reporting to the CEO on some functions as will be defined.
 
Qualifications: The position requires a person with at least 2 years’ experience in a busy accounting department and with excellent Computer skills in MS Office and Pastel.

Education: The suitable person should have degree in business field with CPA K.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparation of weekly bank reconciliations against all the payments and withdrawals
  • Timely preparation of Invoices to the customers
  • Maintain an updated receivables and payable records
  • Accurate update of Pastel systems with all expenditures and incomes
  • Timely payment of statutory obligations; Payee, VAT, WH Tax etc.
  • Maintenance of an updated SOA for all the accounts
  • Cash flow projections at the beginning of every month
  • Preparation of a monthly Management Accounts
  • Preparations of a monthly Budget tracker
  • Support in annual budget preparations
  • Support in annual financial audit
  • Maintain an updated Assets Register for the Company
  • Maintain an updated tools/equipment issuance records for the staff across Tescom Group
  • Monthly payroll preparations and administrations
