Our
Client is an IT Company currently recruiting a Receivables Accountant.
Job Responsibilities
Being the Accounts Receivable, you are Directly Responsible for the Accounts department via:

Being the Accounts Receivable, you are Directly Responsible for the Accounts department via:
- Produce
monthly financial accounts in the approved format;
- Provide
budget holders with financial information which meets their needs;
- Facilitate
the preparation of the annual budget and update forecasts as necessary.
2.
Financial transactions
- Ensure
the efficient processing of all financial transactions, including
invoicing and collection of moneys due;
- Ensure
that all money received in and paid out is correctly allocated;
- Ensure
the purchase ledger is maintained, with accurate coding, and that
suppliers are paid in a timely manner;
- Ensure
the bank and other control accounts are reconciled monthly.
3. Cash flow
- Manage
banking arrangements under the direction of the Chief Accountant;
- Maintain
a daily cash flow schedule and produce regular cash flow reports;
4. Systems and IT
- Continue
the development and implementation of financial systems;
- With
the assistance of the IT department, maintain software used in financial
and payroll administration.
5. Taxation
- Prepare
monthly and quarterly VAT returns;
- Involve
and instruct external tax consultants when necessary.
6. Inventory
- Maintaining
proper reporting and financial controls; and
- Ensuring
adherence to all practices and policies required to meet these objectives.
Performance Measurements
- Accounting
documents, records, and reports are prepared, maintained, and typed
accurately and in a timely manner.
- Department
files are appropriately maintained.
- Account
reconciliations are correct and completed in a timely manner.
- Good
communication and coordination exist with Company personnel. Assistance
and support are provided as needed.
- Management
is appropriately informed of area activities.
- Accounting
functions are completed in accordance with established standards,
policies, and procedures.
Organizational Alignment
Reports to the Chief Accountant.

- Bachelors
Degree in Commerce / Business Management / Economics will be advantageous
- Minimum
3 years’ General Accounting experience.
- Certified
Public Accountant (CPA K) or its equivalent.
