Plan International Kenya is seeking to recruit for the position ofOffice Coordinator to be based in Mombasa on a 3 year contract and will report to the OVC Manager.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate procurement activities and ensure compliance to policies, guidelines and regulations
  • Manage and coordinate vehicles, drivers and travel for project staff, volunteers and visitors
  • To oversee repairs and maintenance of vehicles, offices, furniture and equipment in the project
  • To ensure maintenance of vital records and produce accurate and timely reports
  • To oversee stores management and ensure safe custody and security of all organisations’ assets and their documentation
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to project staff
  • Manage the front office and provide supervision to the Office Assistant and Drivers
  • Responsible for basic booking, management of petty cash floats and making payments for project support expenditures in accordance with Plan policies and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Behaviours
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration or logistics or other related field.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in administration, logistics and procurement preferably in a similar position in an NGO.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and team player
  • Good team management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent office management skills
  • IT/computer skills
  • Knowledge of filing and general record keeping
  • Pro-active and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate in English and Swahili
