Windle Trust Kenya (WTK), a member of Windle Trust International Federation, is a non-profit organization. 

We are working with communities in Dadaab District, Fafi, Wajir South, and Dadaab Refugee Camps.

Windle Trust Kenya wishes to recruit the positions:

Position Title: Human Resource Officer – 01/16
 

Contract term: Full-time, 1 year contract with possibility for extension
 
Station: Dadaab
 

The HRO guides and manages the provision of Human Resources services, policies and programmes for WTK in Dadaab. 

The HRO supports promotion of practices that lead to quality productivity and commitment to high performance culture and support the achievement of the organization’s Vision and Mission.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Setting HR strategies
  • Developing policies, standards & systems;
  • Training & development
  • Recruitment and orientation of new staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, or Organization Development with at least 3 years’ work experience
  • Experience in the employment law and administration of benefits, compensation and other Human resources remuneration
  • Skills in database management and keeping of records
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Good computer skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
Position Title: Accounts Officer - 02/16
 
Contract term: Full-time, 1 year contract with possibility for extension
 
Station: Dadaab
 
Key Areas of Responsibility
 
The Finance Officer will be responsible for monthly consolidation of accounts and preparation of quarterly financial reports. 

The FO will ensure clear internal audit trails, external audit support, be involved in budgeting, development of account systems and procedures, safe custody of all financial data and maintenance of fixed assets register.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting / Finance option), Bachelor of Business Administration from a recognized university
  • A holder of CPA III (K) or ACCA final and a member of a professional body (ICPAK / ACCA)
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is a must
  • 3 years financial/accounting experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • Good interpersonal skills
Position Title: Security Officer – 03/16
 
Contract term: Full-time, 1 year contract with possibility for extension
 
Station: Dadaab
 
Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Ensure all security and safety of WTK personnel and resources in Dadaab
  • Organize regular security training for staff
  • Provide security updates to senior management and staff
  • Ensure good coordination with all different departments in terms of security and movement arrangements
Qualifications:
  • University degree or Diploma in relevant discipline, particularly security management studies or public administration.
  • Military training a must
  • Security management experience with a proven ability to develop and implement effective and contextualized protocols and systems
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with NGOs or other humanitarian organizations desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience working in uncertain, insecure and unstable locations
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Knowledge of local dialect is an added advantage
  • High level computer skills
