Systems Developer / Programmer
3 Positions
Reporting to Head of ICT Projects,
the successful candidates will be responsible for developing, enhancing and
delivering system solutions to support business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret stakeholder requirements and provide
technical advice & guidance to IT and business users.
- Evaluate and use appropriate system
technologies in order to develop and provide required solutions to support
the business.
- Document general and/or technical
specifications for system development requests ensuring they adhere to
minimum technical standards as defined by the IT Management Team.
- Ensure the integrity and viability of data
held within information management systems is not compromised by
developments.
- Resolve Service/Support calls effectively and
within the framework of the service level agreements to improve efficiency
- Update business stakeholders and managers on
progress when working on developments; identifying any issues, risks or
slippages with the work being undertaken.
- Follows approved life-cycle methodologies,
create design documents, and develop business logic utilizing approved
technology framework.
- Develop and conduct program tests, develop
test plans and data, perform or oversee testing to verify that the
programs function correctly and ensure that modifications have not caused
errors in other parts of the program and interfacing systems.
- Resolve technical issues through debugging,
research and investigation.
- Review and analyze programs to gain a detailed
understanding of the implementation of the underlying business functions.
Position Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or
related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in software
development.
- A good understanding of Banking Systems and
Environment.
- Experience in coding including Java
Programming & Net Programming
- Good understanding of WebSphere Application
Server & J2EE

Business Systems Analyst
3 Positions
Reporting to Head of ICT Projects,
the successful candidates will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing business
and systems requirements, modifying systems including encoding, testing,
debugging and installing to support application systems in consultation with
users to make process and systems more efficient and employees more productive.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations
in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and
enhance existing systems, and make recommendations on custom applications.
- Conduct needs assessments and cost/benefit
analysis to align the technology of the Bank with their business
strategies.
- Receive business needs from stakeholders,
solicit product and enhancement requirements from end users and convert
the requests from both into a workable solution to present to systems
developers or programming consultants.
- Plan, implement and subsequently maintain
efficient, cost effective and highly resilient production systems to drive
the Bank’s business.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify
modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user
requirements.
- Analyze data contained in the corporate
database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed
systems and implement solutions.
- Provides assistance and advice to business
users in the effective use of applications and information technology.
- Create & maintain documentation for
technical procedures relating to various applications i.e operations, user
guide, etc.
- Create system design and functional
specifications for all new development projects.
- Assist users in customizing their profiles
& other system configurations for smooth running of the Bank
applications
- Liaise with 3rd party application development
& programming consultants and business units to resolve software
issues.
Position Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or
related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Information
Technology with at least 2 years hands-on technical roles in the field
- Extensive knowledge of dato processing,
hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Strong project management skills &
technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development,
and user support.
- Strong analytical, communication & problem
solving skills.
- Self-motivated & results oriented
individual with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage
changing priorities;

Head of Credit Risk
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer,
the successful candidate will be responsible for management of credit risk to
facilitate growth of a quality loan book in line with the Bank’s strategic
goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Credit Risk Team in providing the
necessary support to Business teams.
- Facilitate processing of credit applications
to support business targets aimed at growing business volume and
increasing the Bank’s market share.
- Research and obtain sufficient and appropriate
information for evaluating business risk.
- Review / recommend /approve credit
applications in compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy & CBK
Prudential Guidelines
- Review credit policy, guidelines and
procedures to ensure they are consistent with prudent credit policy
procedures
- Increase efficiency in internal business
processes, operational controls & risk management and ensure
compliance to service level agreements with the various business units.
- Actively participate in monitoring and
controlling the credit portfolio.
- Facilitate implementation and review of credit
scoring and internal rating models.
- Continuously develop staff by providing
feedback and relevant training to improve productivity & efficiency.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business related field.
- 8 or more years of experience in the credit
function of a Bank.
- Good understanding of credit policies &
procedures.
- In-depth understanding of business environment
and financial markets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team
management & communication skills.
- Strong organization and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle pressure, conflicting
priorities and manage constant changes.
