 Our Client is a values driven organization its mission is to: Educate, empower, elevate, and expand employment with youth in Africa using the transformational practice of yoga.

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the organisation serves diverse and marginalized communities, through partnership with previously marginalized youth who are now yoga teachers, the organisation currently provides more than 300 free classes per week to more than 6000 community members. 


Since it was created, AYP has trained more than 200 yoga teachers in Kenya to serve across Kenya and beyond.

Role of the position:
 The role of this opportunity is to give the organisation the opportunity to assess and determine overall ME&L needs.

This is a one year position, funds permitting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and implement the M&E plan for the organisation, including: academy/training indicators, performance indicators for the organization, and indicators for implementation of grants and activities.
  • Coordinate AYP’s M&E to ensure timely collection, processing, and reporting
  • Lead in the compilation and finalization of AYP’s reporting on indicators and data to demonstrate progress for donors and the AYP Boards
  • Ensure proper documentation of findings and lessons learnt
  • Lead in ensuring data quality for AYP indicators by carrying out routine assessments and reviews of collected information.
  • Build the capacity of the AYP team and community members on measuring progress, learning from joint successes and failures in creative ways that contribute to building a body of knowledge unique to the practice of yoga in Africa and its transformative power.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree, or equivalent with 5 years’ experience in training adult learners.
  • Leadership and Financial Management skills
  • Creativity and strategic thinking
