was established under Universities Act 2012 Section 74. MRUC is positioning
itself to develop a distinctive profile as a progressive and international
university, growing its enrolment strategically.
The University College invites
applications for the following positions:-
1. Academic Staff
Senior Lecturer

Requirements;
·
An earned PhD or equivalent in the
relevant field from an accredited and recognized University.
·
At least three (3) years of teaching
experience at the University level as a Lecturer or six (6) years
research/industry experience.
·
A minimum of thirty two (32)
publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four
(24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
·
Supervised at least three (3) post
graduate students to completion as a lecturer or equivalent.
·
Registered with the relevant professional
body (where applicable)

Requirements
·
An earned PhD or equivalent degree
qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized
University; and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional
body (where applicable).
OR
·
A Master degree in relevant field
from an accredited and recognized University ( in special cases) with at least
three (3) years teaching experience at University level or in research or in
industry; and a minimum of twenty four (24) publication points, of which at
least sixteen (16) should be from referred journal papers; and
·
Registered with the relevant
professional body (where applicable).
2. Non- Teaching Staff
A. Audit Department
Senior Internal Auditor
Grade 13
Ref: MRUC/3/10/15
Requirements:
·
Bachelors degree in Commerce/
Business (Accounting Option) MBA degree or equivalent with specialization in
Finance or Accounts
·
Holder of CPA (K) and registered with
ICPAK.
·
Served as internal auditor/accountant
for at least four (4) years in a large institution.
·
Proven knowledge and work experience
in a computerized accounting system (Sage Accpac, Navision) applied in
accounting.)
·
Sound commercial knowledge of related
industry operations and processes.
·
Good understanding of IERS ad
superior analytical skills.
·
Must have knowledge in modern
financial management techniques including working with ERPs.
·
Experience in preparing audit reports
addressed to senior management.
·
Strong interpersonal ethics with a
strong sense of integrity,
·
Those with CISA.CIA will have added
advantage
Internal Auditor
Grade 12

Requirements:
·
Must possess bachelor in commerce
(Accounting Option) plus CPA final or CPA(K)
·
Must have at least five (5) years’
experience at grade 11 in Audit or Accounts departments
·
Five (5) years’ experience as Senior
Assistant Auditor from Private Sector.
Assistant Internal Auditor I
Grade 8

Requirements:
·
Must possess bachelor in commerce
(Accounting Option) plus CPA final or CPA(K)
·
Must have at least five (5) years’
experience at grade 7 or
·
Five (5) years’ experience as
Assistant Internal Auditor from Private Sector.
B. Library Department
University Librarian
Grade 15
Ref: MRUC/6/10/15
Requirements:
·
PhD in Library and Information Studies
or equivalent from a recognized institution and at least five (5) years’
experience in Grade 14 or comparable position in a large academic library.
·
Must be a member of a relevant
professional body.
·
Must have evidence of two scholarly
publications or a chapter in scholarly book since last promotion.
·
Must be computer Literate OR have a
Master Degree in Library and Information Studies or its equivalent from a
recognized institution with at least seven (7) years’ experience as a Deputy
Librarian in grade 14 in a large Academic Institution.
·
Must have evidence of independent
Research in Information Science.
Additional Requirements
In addition to the qualifications set
for the positions, the applicants must further obtain clearance from the
following bodies in accordance with Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution:

Credit Reference Bureau
