An established milk processor has the
following employment opportunity.
Position: Head of Administration and Procurement
Reporting to: Managing Director
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains
safe, secure, and well maintained.
- Direct and coordinate support services in the
organization.
- Prepare and review operational reports and
schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze internal processes, recommend and
implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations
- Coordinate acquisition and distribution of
store supplies.
- Responsible for budgetary controls in the
department
- Oversee construction and renovation projects
to improve efficiency and to ensure that facilities meet environmental,
health, and security standards, and comply with government regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and repairs of all
fixed assets
- Manage leasing of facility space.
- Sensitize staff on policies and procedures
acceptable at the company.
- Advise management on disposal of obsolete
assets
- Responsible for implementing procurement and
supply chain policies and strategies
- Develop, lead and execute procurement
strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to
reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time
to time by the Managing Director.
Education, Professional
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Bachelors degree in a Business related field
from a reputable University- having qualifications in Supply chain
management would be an added advantage
- At least 8 years experience, 5 of which must
be at senior management level.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong management and negotiation skills
- Computer literacy and familiarity with
standard office computer applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
