Financial Controller

We seek to recruit a dynamic, self-driven individual with impeccable leadership skills to fill the above role.

Purpose of the job

  • ensure overall integrity and accuracy of management accounts
  • ensure timely submission of financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • monitor closely all KPI’s– profit, receivables, bank borrowings, inventory
  • monitor construction projects and ensure timely completion
  • monitor cash positions and working capital funding
  • ensure all statutory and tax obligations are paid on time
  • evaluate and appraise new projects and business proposals
Management Reporting
  • To manage performance against the budget
  • Providing detailed monthly performance statements and analysis
  • Investigation of variances and recommending remedial measures where necessary
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly commentaries and investigate inconsistent and/or major variances
  • Coordination of budget preparation
  • Preparation of performance against strategy, milestones achieved for management discussion
  • Evaluate projects for viability in coordination with senior leadership to approval.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • University Degree with a bias to Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • CPA (K) or ACCA
  • Masters degree added advantage
  • At least 10 years exposure/experience in a senior Finance position and with a bias to construction and real estate management
