Our client is a market leader in providing consulting services to Mobile Network Operators (MNO’s) and Financial Service Providers (FSP’s) globally. 

Their clients include leading commercial banks, telecommunication companies, SACCOs, microfinance institutions and multilateral and bi-lateral donors. 

With increasing demand for their services, the company intends to recruit a Data Analyst to join its team in Kenya, within the Helix Institute of Digital Finance.


Key Functions will include:
  • Carrying out research within Francophone countries, East Africa and South Asia
  • Ensure quality control standards are met during data collection
  • Oversee data cleaning efforts
  • Analyse data sets
  • Contribute to report writing
Location: The role holder will be based in Nairobi, but with significant international travel.

Experience:
 Interested persons should have 2-5 years’ experience in data analysis and management of large amounts of data using statistical software packages (using SPSS)

Qualities & Skills:
 This position requires driven individuals, with an eye for detail and who possess sound knowledge of data processing best practices, database management techniques and statistical theory.

Other relevant skills include:
  • Demonstrated record of initiative and problem solving skills
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills with experience in report writing
  • Experience in knowledge dissemination
  • Proficiency in computer skills, statistical software e.g. SPSS and MS-Office
Education: Master’s degree in Research, Economics, Statistics or related field. Other relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Language:
 Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills in English and French.
