In its efforts to secure members
funds and continuously meet members’ needs, the Sacco wishes to fill the
following vacancy and therefore invites applications from qualified persons for
the position of Credit Controller / Debt Collector
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensuring a uniform debt collection strategy in
line with the society’s policies to avoid reputation risk or legal
challenges by following strict policies and procedures.
- Managing and executing the Sacco recovery and
debt collection efforts.
- Monitor and rehabilitating delinquent
accounts.
- Coordinate daily execution of debt follow up.
- Drafting and issuing appropriated notices to
members requiring clearing of loans arrears.
- Managing issuance of all required statutory
notices prior to engaging recovery action.
- Represent the Sacco in court in matters of
debt dispute
- Work closely with debt collection agencies to
maximize recoveries.
- Oversee disposal of recovered assets
- Negotiating and restructuring facilities where
such action increases chances of recovery of the debt.
Requirements
- A graduate with a bachelor of commerce degree
or any other related degree.
- 5 year experience in credit control, risk
management or related field
- Posses strong interpersonal, communication and
analytical skills
- Proficiency in information technology skills
- Legal experience will be an added advantage
