Job Profile / Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for financial management and reporting, cash flow & bank reconciliations, management of floats, budget control and daily supervision of Accounts, employees amongst others with an overall aim of enhancing smooth operations within the department and ultimate achievement of the Company’s goals and objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily supervision, training,
motivation, setting clear expectations, reviewing progress, providing
feedback and guidance, and holding employees within Accounts department
accountable.
- Participates in compilation, preparation, analyzing,
and interpretations of financial information and reports, cost reports and
financial forecasts, budgets, and make entries to general ledger accounts
on a regular basis thus ensuring integrity of all financial information.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and
inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Prepare bank and cash reconciliation
- Coordinates monthly closing process and
reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Work with both internal and external auditors
during financial and operational audits.
- Prepares work papers and supporting schedules
for the annual financial reviews.
- Maintain system of accounts and keep records
on all company transactions and assets
- Monitoring cash flows and using the same to
predict future financial trends.
- Reviewing and evaluating cost reduction
opportunities open to the company.
- Managing the accounting and monitoring systems
for the company’s finances.
- Developing good working relationships with professionals
such as bankers, auditors or statutory organizations for the benefit of
the company.
- Updating the firm regarding changes in
legislation or regulations that may affect the firm’s financial business
operations.
- Ensures that the Company’s health and safety
policies are adhered to at all times within the department’s operational
areas in close liaison with the HR department.
- Prepare workings and information for the
monthly checklists
- Drafting monthly management accounts and final
accounts for review and finalization by CFO

- Reconciled daily sales and collections

- Bank and cash reconciliations
- Daily stocks reports.
- Payments and adjustments reports
- Ledger reports
- Monthly cash flow statements
- Creditors and debtors reconciliation
reports
- Invoices and credit notes reports
- Debt collections, debtor’s statements and
debtors aging reports
- Checklists
- Monthly management accounts and final
accounts
- Annual budgets
NB: The above mentioned reports are to be compiled in a
monthly basis and be submitted by 3rd of every month.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Professional finance qualification ( ACCA or
CPAK)
Experience
- Minimum of three to five years’ experience
some of which should include high level finance operations exposure
- Working knowledge of multiple finance
operations including budgeting, cash management and credit control amongst
others.
- Relevant industry experience will be an added
advantage.
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving
skills
- Consulting mindset with experience in
execution or re-engineering of financial processes such as management
reporting, budgeting and costing.
- Experienced in operation and implementation of
accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and
PowerPoint.
- Self motivated to learn new concepts and
participate in new projects.
- Strong organisational, analytical and
interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication
skills.
- Effective team leader with excellent
communication, conflict management and relationship building skills.
