Job Title: 
Budget Planning & Control Analyst

Position Reporting to: 
Chief Financial Officer

Job Purpose / Summary: Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will align with department leaders to develop an understanding of their business needs before driving the construction and adherence to an annual budget.

The Budget Planning and Control Analysis will also own responsibility for monthly forecasts of income, volume, cash flow, operational and capital expenditures. 


He will present and explain reports to management on overall business performance and evaluation, and will prepare and present actual to forecast and actual to budget variance analysis to management and to the board.

Key Roles:
  • Develop and maintain 5-year integrated business model forecast/budget.
  • Meet the high expectations of our executive and ownership groups.
  • Direct managers and analysts in the development of an accurate forecasting model.
  • Leverage expertise and proven track record within an SAP platform environment to drive the preparation and subsequent departmental adherence to the annual budget.
  • Analyze data while applying corporate assumptions and guidelines.
  • Work with the various departments of the business in order to anticipate and eliminate potential financial challenges before they arise.
  • Meet with various department leaders to understand their business needs and the associated financial impacts of those needs on the budget and the eventual success of the business.
  • Direct the preparation of the weekly and monthly forecasts and variance analysis of income, cash flow and capital expenditures.
  • Prepare analyses of actual versus budget and forecast information for use in weekly/monthly management meetings and board.
  • Maintain cash requirements schedules.
  • Liaise with other departments while questioning provided assumptions in order to best maintain the validity of forecasting models  
Skills and Experience Required
  • Over 5 years experience
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • MBA highly desired
  • CPA (K)
  • Able to build trust and credibility between finance and the business management team
  • Take personal ownership for the achievement of agreed goals
  • Ability to interact and influence effectively with all levels of the company and lead presentations to executive management
  • Strong knowledge/experience of leading Finance functions within the GBF finance organization
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage processes, and identify cross-functional issues
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

Job Title: Sales Agent 
 
Department: Sales and Marketing

Location: Nairobi

Job Purpose / Summary: The sales representative will work cooperatively with outside sales, other members of the distribution team, as well as the entire organization to grow existing customers, create new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

Key Roles:
  • listening to customer requirements and presenting Products appropriately to make a sale;
  • maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;
  • cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;
  • acting as a contact between Wananchi Group and its existing and potential markets;
  • negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales;
  • gathering market, Territory and prospective triple play customer information;
  • Representing Wananchi Group at trade exhibitions and events under the guidance of HOD and or Team Leader..
  • negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers;
  • challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy;
  • advising on forthcoming Zuku product developments and discussing special promotions;
  • recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales Leader , or entering into a computer system;
  • reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
  • gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
  • making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;
  • feeding future buying trends back to the company for decision making purposes;
  • Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.
Skill & Experience Required
  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Sales & Marketing
  • Computer Literate
  • 1yr plus in sales or customer service
