Position: Director of Operations
Responsibilities: The Director of Operations will lead and direct the
following functions and business units: operations, human resources,
information systems and new business coordination.
S/He will assist the CEO in the
development of organization policies and goals that cover operations, personnel
and growth of the functions and/or business units mentioned above.
The Director of operations will be
responsible for defining and developing a plan for the technical and service
team.
This includes the development and
installation of procedures and controls, to promote communication and adequate
information flow, and thereby solidify management control and direction of the
enterprise; defining future team structure, refining recruiting and training
processes, improving daily and weekly processes, etc.
Working with the CEO, the Director of
Operations will be responsible for driving operations efficiencies and
organizational policies.
In addition:
- The Director of Operations will also be a
member of the Executive Team, participating in weekly leadership meetings
and helping to shape Aquavita’s future.
- Participates in the development and
preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad
organization goals and objectives. Recommends their adoption to the Chief
Executive Officer.
- Develop and establish operating policies
consistent with the CEO’s broad policies and objectives and insures their
adequate execution. Appraises and evaluates the results of overall
operations regularly and systematically, and reports these results to the
CEO
- Develops and maintains a sound plan of
organization. Establishes policies to insure adequate management
development and to provide for capable management succession for those
functions/business units falling under his/her responsibility.
- Directs the development and establishment of
adequate and equitable personnel policies throughout the organization,
including compensation policies and employee benefit plans. Insures that
the interests and welfare of employees as individuals are preserved and
protected.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of operations experience in a
service organization.
- Basic understanding of Reverse Osmosis Water
purification technology
- Proven track record in building, managing and
directing a highly skilled, motivated, successful and results-oriented
service organization
- History of leadership roles in operations at
fast growing B2B companies in East Africa as well as history of scaling
service team in that position.
- Strong leadership qualities with good
communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing
market environment

Position: VP of Sales at AquaVita Limited
Responsibilities
In the remainder of 2015, we plan to
close a minimum additional 160 coolers to lay the foundation for rapidly
scaling sales in 2016. The VP of Sales role begins with generating the next
160.
S/He is expected to accomplish this
goal through by closing his/her own accounts and effectively managing our
4-person sales team, supporting reps to close accounts already in the pipeline,
updating and improving sales processes and pitch-craft, honing team skills, and
improving systems and reporting for sales activity, pipeline and performance
metrics.
The VP will be responsible for defining
a plan for scaling the sales team. This includes defining future team
structure, refining recruiting and training processes, improving daily and
weekly processes, etc.
Working with the CEO, the VP of Sales
will be responsible for driving sales strategy and revenue generation. S/He
will also be responsible for working with both the Sales team and the broader
company to refine our ‘repeatable sales patterns.’
In addition
- The VP of Sales will also be a member of the
Executive Team, participating in weekly leadership meetings and helping to
shape AquaVita’s future.
- Uses up-to-date sales performance management
tools and technology to not just track activity and pipeline but diagnose
blockages and improve performance of the sales team.
- Comfortable operating in a data-driven
management structure with sound understanding of and ability to track and
communicate critical SaaS sales measures (e.g. MRR/ARR, Churn, CAC, etc.)
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of experience in sales management.
- Proven track record in building, managing and
directing a highly skilled, motivated, successful and results-oriented
sales force
- History of leadership roles in sales at fast
growing B2B companies in East Africa as well as history of scaling revenue
in that position.
- Strong leadership qualities with good
communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of customer and market
dynamics and requirements.
