The position reports to the Managing
Director.
- Undertake sales, stock and production
reconciliations.
- Manage all petty cash operations; i.e.
disbursement, monitoring, accounting and reconciliation.
- Handle general ledger operations; posting and
updating all accounting ledgers.
- Participating in and supporting the timely and
accurate preparation of budgets and monitor expenditure.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial
statements and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensuring that all accounting transactions
comply with set financial systems and controls and initiate remedial
action where this is not the case.
- Compiling tax reports/statutory returns (NHIF,
NSSF, PAYE) and ensuring that they are submitted in a timely manner.
- Manage debtors and creditors.
- Withholding tax, VAT reconciliation and filing
of VAT returns.
Desired qualifications &
competencies
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
field.
- Three (3) years’ work experience.
- At least CPA Section 3.
- Working knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks is
essential.
- Must be a hardworking and honest individual
who takes initiative.
