RTI is currently seeking multiple
staff for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Kenya
Youth Workforce Program (KYWP) in Kenya that aims to enhance employability of
Kenyan youth (Ages 18-35) for increased wage and self-employment, for
underemployed youth who have not completed secondary school.
The KYWP is a 5 year activity that
will result in increased workforce competitiveness in the sectors targeted by
this program.
Chief of Party
Responsible for overall project
performance, management, execution, and ensuring all project deliverables are
exceeded and within budget and compliance for the project.
She/he performs project planning,
oversight, leadership, and coordination.
She/he ensures strong and favorable
client relations.
Qualifications: A
Master’s degree or PhD preferred in business, education, youth, workforce
development or related field with at least fifteen years of relevant experience
planning and managing workforce development-related projects; Strong technical
expertise in vocational training, workforce development, and proven ability to
facilitate and establish private sector partnerships.
Sr. Technical Advisor 2 - Market and
Employment Informationwill be responsible for the design,
implementation and overall quality of strategies and activities that capture
and disseminate employment and market information and in a youth-friendly
manner.
This position will work
collaboratively with other staff and key stakeholders to ensure project
objectives are met.
Qualifications: Master’s degree and 9 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Human Resource Officer 2 is responsible for managing the Human Resources Administration
for the KYWP Project.
She/he will maintain functions such
as recruitment, personnel policies, and HR regulatory compliance.
The Human Resources Officer 2 will
also recommend and administer effective RTI personnel policies and procedures
that abide by the legal requirements and the sound practice of the HR field.
Qualifications: Master’s
degree and 1 year of experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience of HR
Management within the not-for-profit sector desired.
Communication and Knowledge Management Officer 2 will be responsible for establishing a vigorous communications strategy to raise public awareness, build demand for local innovations, increase awareness and raise motivation among local government actors to achieve a higher standard of management towards better local governance.
Qualifications: Master’s degree and 1 year of experience or
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Finance and Administration Manager 2 is expected to drive best practices in financial management, human resources management and administrative management within the Project to maximize efficiency and growth.
Qualifications: Master’s degree and 9 years of experience or
Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Experience in implementing USAID projects required.
Sr. Program Specialist 1- Job Placement
and Career Counseling Leads and coordinates strategy and implementation
of the project activities to build the capacity of Kenyan government, education
and civil society actors to deliver effective career counselling to and job
placement services to youth (ages18–35) with primary or some secondary
education.
Maintains relationships with key
stakeholders.
Qualifications: Master’s
degree and 6 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in guidance and
counseling or related field and 10 years of experience or equivalent
combination of education and experience
Sr. Program Specialist 1 - Youth Outreach and Capacity Building leads the design, implementation and technical quality of strategies and activities that promote youth engagement, particularly focusing on girls and young women, and marginalized populations.
Ensures best practices and lessons
learned are captured and disseminated across project.
Engage industry associations in
coordinating activities and interactions with beneficiaries.
Qualifications: Master’s
degree and 6 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree in communication, capacity
building or community development or related field with 10 years of experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Operations Coordinator 2 is
responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of office operations, technical
efforts and field activities.
This includes tasks such as managing
day-to-day administrative operations of the project offices.
He/she will provide overall
coordination related to the smooth implementation of the program activities in
the field.
Qualifications: Master’s degree and 1 year of experience or
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Sr. Program Specialist; Curriculum Development Specialist 1leads the technical approach and coordinates project activities related to curriculum development and training implementation.
He/she maintains relationships with
key sector partners, donors, consultants, host country counterparts and
stakeholders working in similar activities.
Responsible for managing program
deliverables, including planning and coordination of all activities related to
curriculum development and training.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and 6 years of experience or
Bachelor’s Degree in community development or related field with 10 years
of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Logistics Assistant is
responsible for carrying out purchases, ensures purchasing process is compliant
with RTI and client regulations.
Organizes travel and shipments,
reporting, and other logistical issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree and 1
year of experience or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- Experience working under USAID or DFID funded
international projects preferred.
