Management Accountant

Management accountant will interpret financial information to make business decisions. 

He / She will provide business data and analysis to managers within organizations to assist in business decision-making and control.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Finance lead in the Commercial planning meeting, and Optimization process
  • Collate the  Risks & Opportunities from CPP & for input into the Finance planning meeting for consolidation into total business R&O
  • Proper costing of all new product development initiatives (NPDs)
  • Act as the finance support for the commercial side of the business
  • Standard cost maintenance including; ensuring that BOMs are updated from PLM to MFG, review and update  of  routings,  cost simulation  for  budget, PF0,PF1,PF2  and  5-YP  purposes,  updating  of standard costs as per group guidelines
  • Product  costing  for  new  products  and  active involvement in the NPD & PLM process as Finance representative
  • Giving financial advise to NPD teams to ensure that proposed projects meet the company ROI targets
  • Proper  tracking  of  M&C  spend  and  ensuring  that there  is  no  overspend,  passing  of  monthly  M&C journals and reconciliation of the same
  • Lead & co-ordinate the budgeting, PFs  and 5YP planning process
  • Advising the business on the costs forecast and simulating the costs to be used for the purposes of budgets ,profit forecasts and 5-YP
  • Monthly reporting: In-charge of the monthly management account, Regional & Group reporting
  • Generating Brands P&L on a monthly basis and advising brand managers on performance of their brands & also sending it to Team Africa lead for consolidation
  • Managing & maintenance of the fixed asset module in MFG
  • Running the depreciation charge on a monthly basis Ensuring that FA additions are properly classified
  • Ensuring that the Fixed asset register agrees to the physical assets
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business related field: Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • CPA K a must
  • 2 Years Credit control in FMCGs Industry
  • Knowledge of ERP SAP accounting software
