to the Strategic Information Coordinator or HIV/AIDS specialist depending on if
you are in hypertension or AFYA Jijini, Nairobi
Key
Responsibilities
The
incumbent will provide M&E / strategic information support to CHAK
hypertension project or the HIV/AIDS/RMNCH/FP project.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Conduct
M&E activities for various health and HIV integrated programmes
- Work
with partners to ensure timely and accurate collection and processing of
appropriate data
- Produce
monthly, quarterly and annual M&E reports
- Support
IT infrastructure and programming for electronic medical records
- Facilitate
capacity building for member health facilities in M&E and HMIS
- Facilitate
strategic use of data and information so as to improve health service
delivery
Qualifications
Knowledge,
skills and experience
- Good
oral and written communication skills
- Good
interpersonal skills, self‐motivated, fairness and objectivity in problem solving
- Computer
programming knowledge
- Strong
analytical skills with experience in statistical softwares e.g. Epi info,
SPSS, STATA, etc.
- Familiarity
with PEFPAR and MOH reporting systems e.g. KePMS and DHIS
- Must
be willing to travel extensively within Kenya.
Minimum Education and Professional requirement
- Applicants
should have a minimum of graduate degree in information technology,
computer science, statistics/biostatistics, public health/epidemiology, population
studies/demography, or a related discipline
- At
least three years’ experience in M&E / strategic information
- Post
graduate qualification in M&E, HMIS or other relevant field will be an
added advantage

- All
project staff at AFYA Jijini or CHAK hypertension project
- Other
CHAK staff at the secretariat
- Staff
from consortium partners for both hypertension and AFYA Jijini projects
