Mission For Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a registered trust of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK) with the mandate to provide reliable, quality and affordable essential drugs, medical supplies, training and other pharmaceutical services. 

The organization is currently enhancing its operations for business growth and seeks to fill in the following vacant position:-

Warehouse Operations Manager
Job Purpose: Warehousing and order processing 

Job Reports To: Head of Operations

Job Summary: The main purpose of this job is to coordinate warehousing, inventory control and order processing activities for efficiency, customer satisfaction and integrity of stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate warehousing and order processing for efficiency, customer satisfaction and integrity of stock.
  • To evaluate staff performance and make recommendations
  • To plan and control budgets to optimize utilization of resources and accountability.
  • To implement good warehousing practices
  • To monitor the functionality of equipment and working tools for operational efficiency
Key Requirements:
  • Level of Education: Degree in Pharmacy
  • Professional / Additional Qualifications: Training in management related field or supply chain management
  • Experience: 5 years hands on experience in busy pharmaceutical or medical supply chain
  • Job Skills / Behavioral Attributes: Excellent Organization and interpersonal/people management skills and a good communicator.


Job Purpose: Transport of staff, goods and assigned duties 

Job Reports To: Administrative Officer

Job Requirements
  • Level of Education: ‘O’ Level (C plain and above)
  • Professional/Additional Qualifications: Driver class ABCE with knowledge and experience in motor mechanics.
  • Experience: Over 5 years’ experience in a reputable organization.
  • Job skills / Behavioral Attributes: Self driven, high level of integrity, team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Purchasing Manager
Job Purpose: To Develop and manage a supplier base and contracts for reliability and competitiveness.
Job Reports To: Head of Operations

Key Responsibilities:
  • To draw up service contracts for effective execution and performance monitoring
  • To co-ordinate purchasing activities to meet organizational needs
  • To Negotiate for capital item purchases for cost effectiveness
  • To Manage the tender process for quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency
  • To maintain a data base on market prices, commodity list, alternative products and sources to facilitate decision making
  • To address supplier performance issues for efficiency
  • To plan and control sectional budget to optimize utilization of resources
  • To ensure efficient performance management to achieve operational objectives
Job Requirements:
  • Level of Education: Bachelors in Pharmacy
  • Professional/Additional Qualifications: Business related qualification will be added advantage.
  • Experience: Over 5 years’ hands on experience in medical supplies & pharmaceutical procurement
  • Job skills/Behavioral Attributes: a person with a high level of integrity, good negotiation skills, good interpersonal relations with excellent communication, organization, analytical and developed computer skills.
