Vacancy: Senior Manager - National Sales

Job Purpose:
 In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing total sales force to meet and exceed sales target with profitability and to accomplish the company's growth plan by successfully implementing company sales strategies, excellently executing company sales plans nationwide.

Reporting to Commercial Director and supervising Regional Sales Managers and Key Account Managers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

The person will be responsible for:
  • Continuously explore opportunities for expanding coverage into new geographical areas and sales channels.
  • Ensure the Company's coverage plans are met and exceeded by establishing through the regional managers the effective workplans and optimum visit frequency by region and account.
  • Responsible for increasing numeric distribution of all products.
  • Lead the sales force including regional managers, Key Account Managers and trade marketing executives 
  • Develop company weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual business plans, in conjunction with the Commercial Director.
  • Reporting to directors, with detailed information on sales, performance, targets, geographies, product segments, etc
  • Demonstrate technical selling and communications skills and product knowledge in all areas that allows the incumbent to give effective presentation of PS Kenya products.
  • Key link in execution of brand trade plans
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring cash collection target is met
  • Budget Management. Optimize the budget with smart spending. Track, control, evaluates all spending.
Requirements:

A seasoned leader who easily engages peers, supervisors and subordinates, has a results focus and is open to new ideas.  

In addition you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce or equivalent and a professional qualification in Sales and Marketing.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in Sales and Distribution with 4 years at management level
  • MUST have proven sales experience in FMCG Companies. Pharmaceutical experience will be an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven strategic and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Superior communication skills - written and oral - and relationship building and management skills;
  • Strong consensus-building skills with the ability to drive change and innovation
  • Willingness to travel and work out of the office
  • Valid Driving License

Vacancy: Key Accounts Manager

Job Purpose:
 In this role, you will develop and implement an innovative sales, merchandizing and distribution strategy for all retail Key Accounts that will lead to growth in sales of the PS Kenya products while developing solutions that resonate with customer needs ensuring that all initiatives are consistent with company’s overall sales strategy.  

Reporting to the National Sales Manager and supervising the Trade Marketing Assistant, The person will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strong and focused retail strategy for PS Kenya to achieve agreed revenue and volume targets.
  • Define a clear strategy and ensure excellent in-store execution in channels which delivers high impact visibility and maximum shopper interaction and conversion to purchase at share of shelf, planogram layouts at home-shelf, secondary display and Point of Sales Materials
  • Define and implement PS Kenya SKU distribution and merchandising standards per channel. 
  • Coordinate with Marketing and regional managers for execution in assigned accounts including distribution, visibility and activation.
  • Identify high-performance-account/stores and high-potential-account/stores and develop program to grow these groups at the same time and achieve account Product, Placement, Price & Promotion targets.
  • Negotiate and seal trading terms, promotion, distribution and visibility agreements with Key Accounts through a Joint Business Plan for current and new products
  • Develop customer and competitor insights, identify key gaps, develop and recommend plans to address the gaps.
  • Manage Company's relationship with customers with an emphasis on developing new business opportunities. Establish strategic, cross-functional relationships and regular dialogue with key customers. Conduct monthly performance reviews with management of assigned accounts
  • Support the selling process through order management by self, merchandisers and regional sales team. Ensure achievement of sales objectives, deliveries & cash collections efficiencies
  • Propose and align trade promotions, marketing, pricing, discount and account servicing.
  • Optimize trade budget with smart spending. Track, control, evaluates all spending.
  • Manage Distributor and lead direct report(s) effectively by keeping track of their performance and budgets / expenditures to achieve set objectives
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce or equivalent and a professional qualification in Sales and Marketing.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in Sales and Distribution with 2 years at management level
  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry in Kenya and direct experience with major retailers
  • Experienced in Key Account Management, Category Management, Trade Marketing and Distributor Management
  • Superior communication skills - written and oral - and relationship building and management skills;
  • Willingness to travel and work out of the office.
  • Valid Driving License
