Massive Recruitment in CCTV Africa, Nairobi Kenya

CCTV Africa is China Central Television’s news productions center which was launched in Kenya on January 11, 2012. 

CCTV-Africa is expanding and is seeking experienced, dynamic and professional applicants for the following job vacancies:-

 

Planner
  • Bachelor degree or above, communications / journalism / international relations preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant fields
  • Good at doing research and sorting out valuable news from various sources of information
Video Editor
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, television or video production.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in video and photo editing with other aspects of video production including lighting, shooting, audio, recording/mixing and color corrections
  • 5 years’ experience of using Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Server, Final Cut Studio, including an understanding of compressions and codecs.
Sports Reporter
  • Broadcast Journalism degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as sports Anchor/Reporter on English and International Language television
  • Experience in producing.
Media Coordinator
  • Bachelor’s degree required; communications/journalism preferred
  • Experience in video and audio editing will be an added advantage.
Graphics Designer
  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related area
  • Product knowledge of TV industry
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; specifically Photoshop & Illustrator
New Media Planner
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required.
  • At least 5 years’ working in news or media organizations creating New Media output for African audiences
New Media Editor
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required.
  • At least 1 years’ working in news or media organizations creating New Media output for African audiences
Electrical Technician Engineer
  • A B.E. or B.S. degree in electronics and electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience including on the job training / material familiarization.
  • Should be trained in the maintenance of nonwovens technology.
Human Resource Specialist
  • A degree in Business Management or Human Resources Management.
  • A member of IHRM
  • At least three to five year’s relevant and acceptable work experience in Human Resource department.
  • Have a high degree of computer literacy - to include competence in the following Microsoft applications - word processing, spreadsheets, databases, file management, e-mail and the internet.
  • One with in depth understanding of employment law legalization.
  • Able to maintain high standards of work and meet deadlines.
IT & Support
  • University bachelor degree or above
  • 2+ years of professional experience on web design
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP
  • Performance optimization experience in CSS/JavaScript
  • Experience with browser-based development tools (Chrome DevTools, Adobe Creative Suite, etc)
  • Understanding of responsive design principles
  • Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
