Position Title: Systems Developer

Position Description: Development and Maintenance of Business
Applications, Dashboards, reporting, analysis and integration solutions for the
business application systems.
Detailed Description
- Design, develop and implement reporting,
analysis and integration solutions for the business application systems.
- Work very closely with users and business
analysts to understand requirements and then develop or maintain the
required solutions.
- Identify solution initiatives, which can be
created for better efficiency and process controls within any business
systems environment.
- Develop and maintain programming standards and
policies for these solutions
- Advise manager and business analysts of
emerging development strategies, which can provide business benefit.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and BI
Analytics solutions
- Develop and maintain application interfaces
- Document at all stages of application
development outputs
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronics
Engineering, IT or related field.
- Certifications in system development tools and
languages.
- At least 2 years experience in systems
development.
- Experience in developing in NT/Unix
environments.
- Certification and solid experience in
developing with Microsoft technologies.
- Minimum 2 years programming experience in
Visual basic, Java, C++, XML.
Position Title: Legal Counsel
Position Ref No: IRC34820
Brief Posting Description: To identify, communicate and mitigate legal risks
to the business to minimize undue financial costs.
Detailed Description
- Draft, negotiate, and vet contracts on behalf
of the company to protect its interests.
- Ensure disputes are resolved in a manner that
safeguards the company’s position.
- Organize and administer subsidiary board
meetings to ensure they are efficient and effective.
- Ensure company’s compliance with statutory and
regulatory requirements to avoid legal penalties.
- Brief and monitor external counsel to ensure
legal representation is effective.
- Prepare proposals and to lobby the Government
of Kenya on pending legislation to protect or improve the business
environment for Kenya Airways Ltd.
- Develop effective working relationships with
key user departments to ensure their needs are understood and appropriate
solutions developed that support business needs.
- Legal counseling and preventive lawyering so
as to ensure legal problems and risks are identified and dealt with before
they emerge as significant risks to the business.
Minimum Requirements
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with three
years post qualification experience preferably in commercial law practice.
- Certified Public Secretary
- Excellent communication skills
