The cement manufactured by East African Portland Cement Company, is sold under the brand name Blue Triangle Cement and has been instrumental in the regions social-economic development as virtually all spheres of development have benefited from the use of Blue Triangle Cement.
The company intends to fill the following vacant position as a part of turnaround strategy and re-organization program that is aimed at accelerating delivery of the strategic objectives.
Business Controller
Ref: EAPCC/25/06/2015
Reporting administratively to the
Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer,
the Business Controller will be responsible for development of the ‘Control
function’ within EAPCC and give functional leadership on the same.
In this role, the incumbent will be
responsible for assisting the business in acceleration of performance
improvement initiatives; validating alignment and prioritization of the same
with the strategic objectives; development and implementation of effective
Business Performance management systems and processes and drive robust business
planning across the business to ensure good forecasts, performance benchmarks
and implementation of corrective action plans on performance.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Finance, Statistics, and Engineering or other analytical course, plus relevant professional qualification (Chartered Accountant or equivalent).
S/he will have a minimum of 8 years’
experience in a professional audit firm or a large commercial organization.
Experience in the Building materials
sector (especially Cement/Aggregates/Concrete) would be an added advantage.
