Audit Assistant Job in Kenya

Kenya Safari Lodges and Hotels is a Limited company incorporated in 1966. 

We offer bush and Beach memorable experience to both international and local Tourist. KSLH comprise of three units being: - Mombasa Beach Hotel, Voi safari Lodge and Ngulia safari Lodge. 

 
KSLH is seeking to engage one candidate Audit Assistant dedicated, experienced and highly talented professional.   

Scope and main purpose of the Job: To assist the Internal Auditor in ensuring various departments comply with the established rules (SOPs, Professional Standards / ethics, internal control and provide guidance on detected weakness.
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to assist the Internal Auditor in:-
  • Planning and preparing audits, reporting audit results. 
  • To conduct audit activities at KSLH
  • Appraise the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control system and risk management process within KSLH.
  • To prepare audit reports and presentations on audit findings and recommendations for corrective measures and conduct follow-up action plans.
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing and updating company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform ad hoc/special audits and investigations on areas of concern as and when required.
Required Qualifications & Specifications
  • Degree in accounting, auditing, finance or taxation Or a minimum of CPA section 4
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years auditing experience preferably.
  • Have experience in financial reporting/compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Have organizational, interpersonal and communication skills & high level of confidentiality.
  • Communicates effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Have integrity and demonstrate good moral character & Able to work under pressure and without supervision.
  • Being capable of upholding high degree of confidentiality.
  • Conversant with Front Office Fidelio V-714 systems, Micro and Sun Systems.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage
