Vacancy: Education Programme Officer
 
Aga Khan Education Service, Kenya (AKES, K) operates 11 schools in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret. 

It provides nursery to senior secondary education in both the national and international curricula. AKES, K is seeking to recruit an Education Programme Officer (EPO).

The EPO will oversee the academic and business performance at the AKES, K schools in Kisumu and Nairobi, and develop coordinated faculty and development plans for these schools. 

The EPO provides professional challenge and support to schools with a particular focus on building capacity. 


The EPO will support Head teachers to provide leadership and enhance academic, co-curricular, sports and leadership programmes.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Education from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in both international and local curriculum
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in an administrative/management post in a school or have had training in Educational management.
  • Have a good grasp of curriculum management, design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Have a good grasp of educational research skills and knowledge.
  • A keen business sense
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
  • Be innovative, dynamic, enthusiastic and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and ICT skills.
  • Be in a position to travel as required.
  • Be able to work within the framework of Policies, Practices and Guidelines of AKES, K.
